Children of the Virgin Mary, it is I, Padre Pio, who comes to you this evening to speak about the souls in Purgatory.
The souls who are in Hell are those who refused to love God, to honor their Creator, and who, right up until the very end of their lives on earth, refused to repent of their sins.
These souls committed many sins during their lives, but they did not seek God’s help. They lost their way of their own accord.
The souls suffering on the steps of Purgatory have also done wrong, but for them, there is still hope, for they have performed enough good deeds on earth for God to grant them His Mercy.
They may suffer for a long time in Purgatory, but they are promised salvation in Heaven one day. These souls must spend a certain amount of time in Purgatory before the prayers and Masses offered for them can help them ascend the steps leading to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Therefore, do not abandon them, for your prayers can help them once they have served their minimum sentence. Continue to pray for these poor souls in Purgatory who implore your prayers and Masses.
Pray for your deceased relatives who are desperately awaiting your prayers so that God may forgive their sins and allow them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity.
